ROOFERS LOCAL # 134 APPRENTICESHIP

The roofing trade:

Roofers waterproof and weatherproof buildings. They apply shingles made from fiberglass, slate, tile, cedar, or composite material such as felt rubber membrane. They also apply built-up rubber, PVC and modern bitumen roofing.  They waterproof foundations and plazas as well as line ponds and tanks.

Roofers work outdoors in all kinds of weather and only the most severe weather stops their work. The roofing trade requires a great deal of climbing, kneeling, standing, and walking. A roofer cannot be afraid to work at heights; and also have a good sense of balance and safety.
