PREPARATION FOR THE TRADE
The following are helpful qualities of an apprentice candidate:
Good work ethic
Good attendance
Good reading ability
Math skills, especially algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
Welding experience
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
PROGRAM SPECIFICS
Length of program -5 years
200 hours of classroom instruction per year
Classes are accredited for college credit through Owens Community College
Apprentice license by the City of Toledo Inspection Dept.
Starting pay - 45% of journeyman wage
